AEW has finalized the card for Worlds End, adding a heated grudge match to the Zero Hour pre-show. Eddie Kingston will go one-on-one with Zack Gibson in a match that stems from a rivalry brewing throughout December.
Kingston’s issues with the Grizzled Young Veterans (Gibson and James Drake) began shortly after his AEW Continental Crown loss to Samoa Joe at Winter is Coming. The tension escalated when the GYV cornered Nathan Cruz during his match against Kingston on December 17. Kingston gained a measure of revenge by defeating James Drake at Ring of Honor’s Boxing Day Brawl, but the victory was short-lived. Gibson attacked Kingston immediately after the bell, leading directly to this match being signed for the pre-show.
This bout joins the previously announced tag team match featuring Hyan and Maya World taking on the “Sisters of Sin” (Skye Blue and Julia Hart) on the Zero Hour lineup.
The main card for Worlds End is stacked with championship implications and gimmick matches. A “Mixed Nuts Mayhem” match will see The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir) battle The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, Roderick Strong) and Toni Storm. In the main event, the AEW World Championship will be defended in a chaotic four-way match featuring Samoa Joe, MJF, Swerve Strickland, and “Hangman” Adam Page.
