Kenny Omega And Will Ospreay To Attend Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Retirement

Two of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s greatest rivals will be there to say goodbye.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced that Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will be in attendance for Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026. The “Ace” of NJPW is set to wrestle his final match against Kazuchika Okada at the Tokyo Dome, bringing an end to one of the most storied careers in wrestling history.

Both Omega and Ospreay have deep histories with Tanahashi. Omega and Tanahashi headlined Wrestle Kingdom 13 in a battle of ideologies, while Ospreay faced Tanahashi numerous times during his ascent to the top of NJPW. Their presence underscores the magnitude of the event as the wrestling world gathers to honor a living legend.
