Madison Rayne Announces Retirement From In-Ring Competition

A legendary career has come to a close.

Madison Rayne officially announced her retirement following her match on the January 1 episode of ROH TV. Rayne teamed with Deonna Purrazzo in a losing effort against Billie Starkz and Diamante. In an emotional backstage segment, the former five-time TNA Knockouts Champion confirmed that it was the end of her 20-year journey as an active wrestler.

“I knew it was coming. This time comes in everyone’s career,” Rayne said. She expressed gratitude for her final match being with Purrazzo and stated she is finding new purpose as a coach for AEW and ROH.

Rayne leaves behind a legacy as one of the most decorated women in TNA history and a veteran presence who helped guide the next generation in AEW.
