Report: AEW Worlds End 2025 Buys Match Full Gear Numbers

AEW closed out 2025 on a high note, with Worlds End emerging as a significant commercial success for the promotion.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the event is projected to generate approximately 140,000 pay-per-view buys. This figure matches or slightly outperforms the numbers for AEW Full Gear 2025, indicating a strong retention of the audience heading into the new year. The consistency in buyrates suggests that AEW has stabilized its pay-per-view fanbase despite a crowded wrestling landscape.

AEW President Tony Khan touted the event’s performance on streaming platforms, noting that data from services like HBO Max was “very good.” Multiple sources have corroborated this, suggesting that when digital buys and traditional cable purchases are combined, the event performed comparably to the company’s biggest shows of the year. While early television ratings for the fallout episodes showed a slight dip, analysts have attributed this to standard holiday reporting delays rather than a genuine decline in interest.

Live attendance figures also painted a positive picture. Worlds End 2025 drew a paid crowd of 8,968 fans to the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. For comparison, AEW All Out 2024, held in the same venue, drew 8,660 attendees. Khan also announced a pre-show sellout, further evidence of the high demand for tickets.

Despite a reported 41% drop in U.S. Google search traffic compared to previous highs, the core metrics of ticket sales and pay-per-view buys demonstrate that AEW’s dedicated fanbase remains highly engaged. The success of Worlds End provides the company with strong momentum as it prepares for Revolution 2026 in March.
