The WWE main roster may be getting another infusion of top-tier talent very soon.
Despite the recent call-ups of Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Lash Legend, and Jordynne Grace, Fightful Select reports that the movement from Orlando to the main stage isn’t over. According to the outlet, former NXT Women’s United States Champion Blake Monroe has been under serious consideration for a promotion to the Raw roster over the last few weeks.
“There was also discussion that immediate plans with Blake Monroe could be changing, including as soon as this week,” the report stated.
This timing is particularly interesting given Monroe’s schedule. The 27-year-old is set to challenge Thea Hail for the Women’s North American Championship on tonight’s New Year’s Evil edition of NXT. Monroe originally lost the title to Hail last month in a match that reportedly ended with a botched spot, forcing creative teams to scramble and adjust plans heading into the holiday break. A loss in tonight’s rematch could be the final signal that Monroe is bound for Monday nights.
Monroe’s ascent has been rapid since signing with WWE in June 2025. Prior to her WWE run, she spent two years in AEW, where she captured the AEW Women’s World Championship, proving she has the pedigree to handle the main event spotlight. Her blend of experience and star power makes her an ideal candidate to bolster the Raw women’s division, which is currently headlined by the likes of Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
With the Royal Rumble just weeks away, a debut on the main roster would allow Monroe to immediately insert herself into the road to WrestleMania. Fans should keep a close eye on the outcome of her match against Thea Hail tonight; the result could very well determine which brand she calls home in 2026.
