WWE Hall of Famer and AEW manager Jake “The Snake” Roberts is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery this week.
Veteran wrestler Leilani Kai shared on social media that Roberts underwent hip revision surgery on the morning of Tuesday, January 6.
“Thinking of Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts this morning as he goes in for hip revision surgery. Sending love to Jake and Cheryl. Wishing him a smooth surgery and a strong, steady recovery ahead,” Kai wrote.
This is the second major medical procedure for the 70-year-old legend in the last year. In May 2025, Roberts underwent heart ablation surgery to correct an arrhythmia. Roberts has been absent from AEW television since late 2024, where he had been managing Lance Archer and The Righteous. While his on-screen role has diminished recently, he remains a beloved figure in the industry and has continued to make appearances on the convention circuit.
