AJ Styles is approaching the end of his legendary career, and he sees it as something to celebrate.
The 48-year-old superstar recently appeared on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, where he addressed the swirling rumors that he plans to retire by the end of 2026. While WWE has yet to officially confirm his departure date, Styles was open about his mindset.
“Here’s the thing about retirement, it is the opportunity to go out of your way not because of injury but standing on your own two feet… to be able to do that, to me, is a celebration,” Styles explained.
Styles emphasized that walking away on his own terms is the ultimate goal.
“I hope that when it does happen, you guys celebrate with me that I achieved my goals.”
After a decade in WWE and a career that has spanned TNA, NJPW, and the independent circuit, the “Phenomenal One” appears ready to hang up his boots and enjoy the next chapter of his life.
