Shelton Benjamin Responds To Fans Claiming He Was Crying

WWE

Shelton Benjamin wants to clear something up: that wasn’t a tear rolling down his cheek on Dynamite.

Following his victory over Jon Moxley in a Continental Championship Eliminator match on the January 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, fans took to social media to speculate about Benjamin’s emotional state. Some observers noted what looked like tears on his face during his entrance.

However, The Hurt Syndicate member quickly shut down the rumors on Twitter.

“Thanks for the concern Fans you are greatly appreciated, but I don’t do emotional. I hurt Hurt people,” Benjamin wrote. “However, before I enter an arena, I do pour water on my head that tends to drip.”

The match saw Benjamin secure a massive win over the Continental Champion, earning a future title shot. Despite initial tension, Moxley shook Benjamin’s hand after the bell, showing respect to the veteran.
