AEW Dynamite saw a significant recovery in viewership this week.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the January 7, 2026, episode of Dynamite drew 516,000 viewers on TBS. This is a solid increase from the 398,000 viewers who tuned in for the New Year’s Eve episode on December 31. The jump indicates that the audience has returned to their regular viewing habits following the holiday disruptions.
In the key 18-49 demographic, the show scored a 0.08 rating, up slightly from the 0.07 rating recorded the previous week. As always, these Nielsen numbers do not account for viewership on HBO Max, where Dynamite is simulcast.
The show was headlined by a “Lights Out” match featuring Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland vs. The Opps, as well as a Continental Championship Eliminator between Jon Moxley and Shelton Benjamin. Digital engagement for the episode was strong, with the “Lights Out” match highlights drawing 143,000 views on YouTube, followed closely by the angle involving The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and the returning Andrade El Idolo with 127,000 views.
