Sting’s legendary in-ring career may be over, but his fondness for his final chapter in All Elite Wrestling remains strong.
The WWE Hall of Famer, who retired following AEW Revolution in 2024, recently completed a convention tour where he donned his signature face paint for the final time. Speaking with Going Ringside during a signing appearance, “The Icon” reflected on his time in the major promotions, comparing his experiences in AEW, TNA, and WWE.
“They’re all different in some ways. But the thing that I liked about AEW is, it just felt like my brand. It felt like home to me,” Sting said.
He reserved special praise for AEW CEO Tony Khan, crediting him for the successful four-year run that saw Sting remain undefeated alongside his tag team partner, Darby Allin.
“He was the best. He was phenomenal. Treated me like gold the whole way through. And yeah, if it wasn’t for Tony, I wouldn’t have had the run that I had.”
