TNA Wrestling celebrated its new era on AMC by honoring its past.
On the debut episode of TNA Impact on the new network, former TNA President Dixie Carter made a surprise appearance. Introduced by Carlos Silva, Carter took the stage to address the live crowd in Dallas, reflecting on the company’s 24-year history.
“I cannot believe 24 years ago… I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you,” Carter said. “This company is on AMC launching a brand new chapter. I couldn’t be more proud of the locker room, all of you fans… It’s a very sentimental night for me.”
As she finished her speech, her former on-screen rival Bully Ray walked out. In a moment that symbolized the bridging of eras, the two had a brief staredown before sharing a hug. Carter served as president of the promotion from 2003 to 2016, overseeing its previous peak on cable television.
