Report: Jay White Contract “Nowhere Near Up” Despite Absence

WWE

Jay White isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been sidelined since March 2025 after suffering a serious hand injury during a match on Collision. Despite his prolonged absence, Fightful reports that White’s contract with AEW is “nowhere near up.”

White originally signed a long-term deal in April 2023. Additionally, the report notes that AEW is expected to extend his contract by adding the time he has missed due to injury, likely keeping him locked down through at least 2027.

There is currently no timetable for his return, as he has not yet been medically cleared. In his absence, his stablemates Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson have continued to represent the Bang Bang Gang on television.
