AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman has drawn an interesting parallel between the world of professional wrestling and the magic of Disney. While speaking to WDW News in a new interview, MJF discussed how both entities, despite having different target demographics, rely on the same fundamental principles to captivate their audiences.
MJF noted that he believes the two industries share a deep commonality rooted in their ability to transport fans. “I find that professional wrestling and Disney specifically have so much in common, and what it has in common is… it has a way of grabbing you through story, and it has a way of grabbing you through emotion,” he explained.
He elaborated on the immersive nature of the mediums, adding, “It has a way of capturing your imagination and making you feel like you’re in an entirely different universe and world, and nobody’s better at that than me. That’s why I’m the world champion, and that’s why I’m here. There you go.”
