Trey Miguel “Came Very Close to Quitting” Before TNA Return

Trey Miguel has opened up about the emotional rollercoaster he experienced following his release from AEW and subsequent return to TNA Wrestling. Miguel was released by AEW shortly after signing, reportedly due to a mandate from Warner Bros. Discovery regarding past social media comments. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Miguel revealed that the heartbreak nearly caused him to walk away from the industry entirely.

“I came very close to quitting. My heart was broken.. I felt like wrestling hated me to be quite honest,” Miguel wrote. “I didn’t answer calls or texts and I spent a little over a week contemplating what’s next. I felt like my dream died as quickly as it was realized.”

Miguel expressed profound gratitude to TNA for offering him a path back during last week’s Impact. “Words can’t describe how eternally grateful I am for @tnawrestling for saving this dream for me,” he stated, adding that while he may not be everyone’s favorite, he strives to inspire kids who have had hard childhoods.
