The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, and Myron Reed) have officially arrived in AEW, bringing one of the independent scene’s most cohesive units to the national stage. Speaking to Renee Paquette on Close Up, the group discussed their history with various AEW talents, including The Young Bucks and Jon Moxley, but singled out one name they were most excited to see again: Eddie Kingston.
“Eddie Kingston,” Wentz said, with the group affectionately referring to him as “Uncle Eddie.” Dez added context to their relationship, stating, “He was one of the veterans that was still traveling around and bestowing knowledge, not only in-ring, but backstage of life. Those are the blessings you get to have when you get to travel around. We were lucky enough to be on the live shows with him. We built a really great relationship with him.”
Wentz concluded by crediting the Mad King for his mentorship, noting, “He got the Rascalz dialed in a little bit. Someone there to give you that check, you know?” While signed, The Rascalz have yet to make their in-ring debut on AEW television.
