Andrade El Idolo Wants to Retire in AEW: “I’m Not Kidding”

Andrade El Idolo has firmly shut down any speculation regarding his loyalty to All Elite Wrestling. Following his return on the January 7 episode of Dynamite—which marked the end of a complicated contractual saga involving a WWE non-compete clause—Andrade took to Twitter to address a fan who jokingly compared his frequent returns to Alberto El Patron.

Andrade’s response was direct and committed. “I would like to retire here! I’m not kidding,” he wrote. “I’m here to contribute to the company, and I’m here to become one of the greats of AEW.”

The star is currently in the midst of a major push, set to face Kenny Omega on this week’s Dynamite. The winner will advance to a number one contender’s match for MJF’s AEW World Championship at Grand Slam Australia on February 14.
