Former WWE Champion Big E has made a definitive statement regarding his in-ring future. Speaking to Compas on the Beat during Super Bowl Radio Row, the New Day member confirmed that he considers himself retired following the broken neck he suffered in March 2022.
“I’m content,” Big E said. “You know, in wrestling they always say ‘never say never.’ But right now I’m retired, and that for me is it. So I’m focused on other things right now.”
In a separate social media post, he expressed gratitude for his health and career. “At 39, I’m well aware that I will one day have to pay the piper… And somehow, I feel great. I don’t battle daily pain. I’m able to function normally and healthfully. I’m eternally grateful for the wonderful career I stumbled into.”
