Mercedes Moné continues to live up to her reputation as a global superstar, announcing her next major title defense for early March. The AEW star, who has held the CMLL World Women’s Championship since June 2025, is scheduled to put that belt on the line at CMLL’s special all-women’s show on March 6th.
A Busy Month of International Defenses
As of this writing, Moné has successfully defended the CMLL title three times. While her opponent for the March 6th show has not yet been named, the event is a significant date on the Lucha Libre calendar. This defense is just one part of a busy travel schedule for “The CEO.”
In addition to her appearance in Mexico, Moné is set to defend several of her independent titles throughout the month of March. This includes a previously announced trip to Italy for the BestYa promotion, where she will defend the BestYa Women’s Championship against local star Swan on March 8th at the Moné Mayhem event.
Moné’s ability to balance her AEW responsibilities with high-profile international bookings has made her one of the most visible champions in modern wrestling. By carrying belts from multiple promotions across different continents, she is reviving the old-school concept of a traveling world champion.
