New Japan Pro-Wrestling has officially unveiled the full lineup for NJPW New Beginning USA, set to take place on February 27. The card is a showcase of international talent, featuring top stars from NJPW, AEW, and ROH in a series of high-profile championship matches.
Global and Women’s Titles on the Line
The event will be headlined by a first-time-ever clash for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. Yota Tsuji, representing the new generation of NJPW stars, will defend his title against AEW’s Andrade El Idolo. Andrade, who has recently been collecting championships on the independent circuit, looks to add the prestigious IWGP Global strap to his collection.
In the co-main event, the IWGP Women’s Championship will be up for grabs as Syuri defends against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. This “champion vs. champion” caliber matchup pits two of the hardest hitters in women’s wrestling against one another. The undercard is equally stacked, featuring Konosuke Takeshita challenging El Phantasmo for the NJPW World TV Title and Tomohiro Ishii defending the STRONG Openweight Championship against the powerhouse Boltin Oleg.
