“Hangman” Adam Page Secures World Title Shot at Revolution

Cowboy S**t Returns to the Main Event

“Hangman” Adam Page is heading to Revolution with a chance to reclaim the gold. At Grand Slam Australia, Page defeated Andrade El Idolo in a hard-fought #1 Contender’s match, pinning him after delivering a devastating Buckshot Lariat. With the victory, Page has punched his ticket to Los Angeles on March 15, where he will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship.

The path to this opportunity wasn’t easy. AEW held a mini-tournament to determine the challenger, with Andrade defeating heavyweights Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega to reach the finals against Page.

Page has unfinished business with the title picture. He lost the belt to Samoa Joe at Full Gear due to interference from a turning Hook. His reign was short-lived, as MJF captured the title a month later in a fatal four-way. Now, Page looks to end MJF’s second reign, which continued Saturday with a successful defense against Brody King in Sydney.
