Jon Moxley is looking to definitively settle the score with one of his most dangerous rivals. During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the reigning AEW Continental Champion issued a direct challenge to Konosuke Takeshita for a championship rematch at the upcoming AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
A Rivalry Built on Brutality
The challenge comes with a specific caveat: Moxley demanded that the match have no time limits. The stipulation is a direct response to their previous encounter at AEW Grand Slam, where the two men battled to a grueling 20-minute time limit draw with the Continental Championship on the line. The match for Revolution was made official later in the broadcast, setting the stage for a violent conclusion.
The history between Moxley and Takeshita is well-documented. Moxley captured the Continental Championship by winning the prestigious 2025 Continental Classic tournament. However, his path to victory was not without a blemish. During the round-robin portion of the tournament, Takeshita handed Moxley a decisive defeat, proving that “The Alpha” possesses the tools necessary to beat the champion. The No Time Limit stipulation guarantees that there must be a clear victor when they clash again.
Fans will witness this highly anticipated rematch at AEW Revolution, which is scheduled to air on pay-per-view on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The event will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The card is loaded with marquee matchups, including a Last Chance Texas Deathmatch for the AEW World Championship between MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page, and a highly anticipated World Tag Team Championship bout pitting FTR against the Young Bucks.
