WWE is actively securing intellectual property for both its digital ventures and its evolving roster of developmental talent. On Wednesday, February 18, the company filed a variety of new trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, signaling exciting new developments on the horizon for fans and gamers alike.
New Identities Revealed for Performance Center Recruits
Among the filings were the terms “WWE Eras Collide,” “WWE Generations,” and “WWE Domination.” These specific trademarks are reportedly intended for video game purposes, hinting at potential new modes or standalone titles in WWE’s interactive entertainment portfolio. Video game properties have become a massive revenue stream for the promotion, and ensuring that specific terminology is legally protected is a standard business practice. The “Eras Collide” concept in particular has fans dreaming of fantasy warfare between legendary figures of the past and the modern superstars of today.
In addition to the gaming-related filings, WWE also trademarked two new performer names: “Tristan Angels” and “Dorian Van Dux.” It has already been uncovered who will be stepping into one of those new monikers. Following the trademark news, an upcoming WWE wrestler has officially undergone a name change. Nathaniel Cranton, who was announced as part of the massive October 2025 WWE NXT signing class, will now be known as Tristan Angels.
Prior to joining the global juggernaut, Cranton competed on the independent circuit under the name Nathan Angel. Upon arriving at the Performance Center, he initially worked live event matches using his real name. However, his social media platforms have now been updated to reflect the “Tristan Angels” identity, confirming the transition. As for the “Dorian Van Dux” trademark, the recipient remains a mystery. Speculation within the industry points to other members of that same October 2025 developmental class, such as Cyril Coquerelle (Elio LeFleur) or Mike Derudder.
