The WWE women’s division received concerning news earlier this month when Chelsea Green publicly announced she had suffered a broken ankle. The nature of the injury immediately sparked worries among fans that the charismatic superstar would be facing an extended absence from in-ring competition, potentially missing the crucial road to WrestleMania 42.
A Fortunate Diagnosis and Rapid Healing
Fortunately, the situation appears to be much more manageable than initially feared. During a recent sit-down interview with Denise Salcedo, Green was asked directly about her current physical condition and the ongoing rehabilitation process. Green revealed that her recovery is progressing exceptionally well, and she has already discarded some of her medical equipment.
“I’m healing up much faster than I thought I would be,” Green stated during the discussion. “I’m out of the boot, but only for the fashion. I should not be out of the boot.”
Green went on to clarify the specific nature of her injury, noting that while it is painful, it could have been significantly worse. “Um, I chipped my ankle, the side of it. So, it’s painful, but I feel like I got lucky. Like, in terms of a broken ankle, I feel like I got very, very, very lucky. Thank gosh.”
While she jokingly admitted to ditching her walking boot for aesthetic reasons rather than strict medical compliance, her overall mobility and positive outlook suggest she will not be sidelined for a massive stretch of the year. Fans are eager to see the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion back in action, bringing her signature blend of athletic ability and character work back to television programming.
