The TNA Knockouts locker room will be retaining one of its most tenured veterans. After publicly disclosing that her current contract was nearing its expiration date, Alisha Edwards officially re-signed with TNA Wrestling during an emotionally charged, on-screen segment broadcast on the February 26 episode of TNA Impact.
Moose and Management Convince Edwards to Stay
The segment unfolded backstage in the office of TNA President Carlos Silva, where Edwards was meeting with Silva and creative team member Tommy Dreamer. Edwards was remarkably candid during the conversation, expressing a deep feeling that she no longer belonged in the promotion. She cited the ongoing turmoil and recent incidents involving her husband Eddie Edwards and his faction, The System (which also includes Brian Myers, Cedric Alexander, and Bear Bronson), as major factors driving her desire to depart the company entirely.
As she seemed prepared to walk away from her longtime wrestling home, a surprise intervention changed the course of the meeting. Former TNA World Champion and ex-member of The System, Moose, stepped into the frame. Moose spoke passionately to Edwards, detailing exactly why TNA as a whole—and he personally—still needed her presence and leadership in the locker room.
Moose’s heartfelt plea was immediately backed by TNA President Carlos Silva, who weighed in to encourage her to stay and solidify her legacy. Touched by the support from management and a locker room leader, Edwards was ultimately convinced to change her mind. She put pen to paper, signing a new contract to extend her stay with TNA Wrestling, ensuring that her dynamic character work will remain a staple of the promotion for the foreseeable future.
