AEW Dynamite Viewership Dips Against Stiff Prime Time Competition

AEW

All Elite Wrestling faced a challenging night in the television ratings this week, dealing with heavy competition across the cable landscape. The latest episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 633,000 viewers on TBS, representing an 8.5% decrease from the previous week’s broadcast.

Tough Night on the Cable Charts

This figure marks the second lowest overall audience for the flagship program since Nielsen implemented its adjusted Big Data + Panel reporting methodology. The crucial 18-49 demographic also took a hit, with Dynamite pulling a 0.10 rating. This constitutes a 16.7% drop from the prior week and stands as the lowest performance in that specific category since the January 28th episode.

The decline in viewership can be partially attributed to a highly competitive Wednesday night television environment. Dynamite aired head-to-head against a powerhouse lineup, including the milestone 50th season premiere of CBS’s juggernaut reality series Survivor, as well as live NBA coverage on ESPN and NHL action on TNT. Despite the stiff competition, AEW’s two-hour broadcast still managed to finish 15th overall on the prime time cable charts for the evening.

When examining year-over-year metrics compared to the exact same week in 2025, the narrative is mixed. The overall viewership actually saw a 5.9% increase. However, the all-important 18-49 demographic rating suffered a steep decline, dropping 44.4% compared to the previous year. While this week’s numbers were down week-over-week, the show remains up 12.8% in overall viewers when compared to its recent nine-week rolling average, excluding the unrecorded Christmas Eve episode.
