Ring of Honor has officially established a permanent home base for its ongoing television production. During Sunday’s television tapings at the WJCT Studios, AEW CEO Tony Khan addressed the live crowd to announce that Jacksonville, Florida, will serve as the official new home for the historic wrestling promotion.
Returning to Jacksonville for Free Television Tapings
WJCT Studios, which operates as the local PBS affiliate in Jacksonville, hosted the weekend’s action and will continue to be the primary venue for the brand. Khan confirmed that the promotion is already scheduled to return to the building on March 22 for another comprehensive set of television tapings. To help pack the venue, AEW utilized a unique strategy by listing the tapings online with free admission. The promotional website encouraged fans to register for up to four free tickets, promising “incredible action that only they can deliver!”
Since Khan purchased Ring of Honor, the logistics of taping the weekly HonorClub broadcasts have fluctuated significantly. For a large portion of that time, ROH matches were taped before or after AEW Dynamite and Collision events in major arenas. Securing a dedicated, smaller studio environment like WJCT allows the brand to cultivate its own distinct atmosphere, separating it visually and energetically from the massive AEW touring productions.
The Jacksonville area holds immense historical and sentimental value for Tony Khan and his wrestling operations, having famously served as the sanctuary for AEW at Daily’s Place during the global pandemic. As ROH settles into its new Florida home, the roster is gearing up for major crossover bouts, including current ROH World Champion Bandido—who has been sidelined with a minor injury since February—preparing to defend his honor against Andrade El Idolo at the upcoming AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 15.
