Blake Christian has officially secured his permanent spot on the All Elite Wrestling roster. Following a standout performance on Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision in Tucson, Arizona, AEW CEO Tony Khan took to social media to confirm that the high-flying sensation is now officially “All Elite.”
A Standout Performance Leads to a Full-Time Contract
Christian and his tag team partner, Lee Johnson—collectively known as The Swirl—were featured in a chaotic, high-stakes $200,000 four-way tag team match during the Collision broadcast. Although they faced stiff competition from multiple top-tier teams, their dynamic offensive showcase clearly left a lasting impression on management. Shortly after the show concluded, Khan posted the traditional graphic, writing, “The Swirl, Vanilla Baby Blake Christian + @BigShottyLee, had another excellent showing on Saturday #AEWCollision tonight, and now it’s official: @_BlakeChristian is All Elite!”
While Lee Johnson previously received his own “All Elite” designation back in February 2021, Christian has been working diligently on a per-appearance basis across both AEW and Ring of Honor to solidify his status. Although Christian does not currently have an active profile on the official AEW roster page, that is expected to be updated shortly. In addition to their AEW television appearances, The Swirl has been heavily active in Ring of Honor, where they recently formed an intriguing alliance with wrestling veteran Jay Lethal.
The signing marks a significant milestone in Christian’s professional wrestling career. The talented performer previously had a brief run in WWE under the ring name Trey Baxter throughout 2021. Following his release from the Stamford-based company in November of that year, he quickly returned to the independent circuit and made his initial AEW debut on an episode of Dark the following March. Since then, Christian has rebuilt his momentum on the independent scene, capturing the prestigious GCW World Championship and putting on clinics around the world. His relentless dedication and consistently thrilling performances have finally culminated in a full-time national television contract.
