The final episode of AEW Dynamite before the highly anticipated Revolution pay-per-view promises to deliver a healthy dose of nostalgia and violence. This Wednesday’s “go-home” edition will feature an incredibly rare alliance, as former bitter rivals are forced to coexist against a common enemy.
“Dem Bucks” Form to Battle FTR and Tommaso Ciampa
For the first time since January 2010, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) will team up with Mark Briscoe. The unorthodox trio, affectionately dubbed “Dem Bucks” for the evening, will collide in a six-man tag team match against AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and the recently turned Tommaso Ciampa.
The match was necessitated after Ciampa executed a shocking heel turn on Briscoe during last Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision. The Bucks, who are scheduled to challenge FTR for the tag titles this coming Sunday at Revolution, find themselves in a unique position teaming with a man they feuded violently against for years in Ring of Honor. The two sides have only aligned once before in their storied careers, making this a truly historic television main event.
The rest of the Dynamite card is equally stacked with championship implications. TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will put her gold on the line against Persephone, who enters the match with massive momentum after defeating Mercedes Mone to capture the CMLL Women’s Championship this past weekend.
Additionally, the newly debuted David Finlay will team with Gabe Kidd to face the fan-favorite duo of Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy in a bitter grudge match. These bouts join the previously announced AEW TNT Championship defense featuring Kyle Fletcher taking on Mike Bailey, and a combustible press conference segment involving AEW World Champion MJF and his Revolution challenger, “Hangman” Adam Page.
