A Controversial Ceiling and a Hall of Fame Endorsement
During the show, Hayes bluntly stated that Green’s primary role on the roster was to make top-tier competitors like Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton look good. Green publicly responded to the assessment, admitting she was frustrated and angry to hear a high-ranking producer essentially place a permanent ceiling on her career trajectory.
The situation gained further traction when Hayes appeared as a guest on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast. Hayes clarified his initial comments, praising Green as an amazingly talented and entertaining performer, though he maintained his stance on her current roster positioning. However, The Undertaker quickly stepped in to defend Green, strongly stating that he is a massive fan of her work, believes she is significantly underutilized, and confidently declared that she possesses all the tools necessary to become a top star in the company.
Green, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury but remains a fixture on television utilizing a wheelchair, discussed the situation on the Nikki & Brie Show. She revealed that the conflict with the WWE producer has been squashed. “Michael Hayes has apologized to me and we’ve spoken about it and everything,” Green confirmed.
More importantly, Green expressed sheer disbelief and immense gratitude for The Undertaker’s public and private support. “I check my texts, and he’s texted that to me, too. He has doubled down, got my phone number and texted me to hype me up,” she shared excitedly. Acknowledging that fans naturally gravitate toward megastars like Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer, Green noted how deeply meaningful it was to have a legendary figure stand “ten toes down” for her. As a gesture of appreciation, she humorously appointed The Undertaker as her “Secretary of Dark Affairs.”
