MJF is still the AEW World Champion — and Hangman Adam Page will never get another shot at the title. The Revolution main event lived up to every bit of its brutal billing, delivering one of the most violent matches in AEW history before MJF strangled the last bit of fight out of Page with a dog collar around his throat.
MJF arrived in Terry Funk-inspired gear, preceded by a pre-match video package showing him riding through a town on a horse and urinating on Hangman’s “grave.” The symbolism proved prophetic. Because it was MJF’s birthday the previous day, Page greeted the champion by driving a staple attached to a “Happy Birthday” card directly into his chest.
Glass Shards, Syringes, Skewers, and a Dog Collar Before the Finish
What followed was a relentless exchange of punishment. Page brought a glass panel into the ring, but MJF shattered it — only for Page to drag him through the shards, draw blood with barbed wire, smash a light tube over his head, and drive skewers into his skull. MJF answered by plunging a syringe through Hangman’s cheeks in one of the match’s most gruesome moments.
Page then put a double dog collar on both himself and MJF. The champion tried to flee, screaming “Not again,” but was yanked back to the ring. Near the finish, MJF struck Page with the AEW World Title belt and began a ten-count — but Page rose at the last second and low-blowed the champion before turning his own title against him.
As Page wound up for the Buckshot Lariat, MJF caught him with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and then wrapped the dog collar around his throat, choking him out until Page collapsed to the floor. The referee began the count. This time, Hangman Adam Page did not get up. MJF retained the AEW World Championship, and per the stipulation, Page’s title opportunities are finished forever.
