Jeff Jarrett said he was surprised by comments attributed to Adam Pearce about not watching any wrestling outside WWE.
Asked about the remarks on My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett said, “That blew me away.”
Jarrett, who describes himself as a fan who watches everything, said he sees value in people on screen and in creative keeping an eye on the wider industry.
“This ain’t pointing fingers at Adam. He’s a family man, he’s on the road a lot,” Jarrett said. “But if you’re in the talent, if you’re in an on-screen role or in the creative process of what goes on screen, and really, if you’re in this industry, I think it is just healthy to have an understanding. And I’m not saying you have to be a regular watcher, only a couple of idiots like me and you, Conrad.”
He said the risk of not watching is blind spots.
“You got to know not just what works. It’s much more important to know what isn’t working and what needs to be adjusted and what needs to be tweaked,” Jarrett said. “I think you got to be aware as much as you possibly can of what’s going on in this industry.”
