Reports on whether Bayley signed a new WWE contract before her return are in conflict.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bayley agreed to a new deal ahead of her return to RAW, saying she signed a new deal.
PWInsider disputed that within hours. The outlet reported that multiple WWE sources said there had been no conversations about a new contract because Bayley is not close to the end of her current one, and that anyone saying she signed as a condition of her return is wrong.
PWInsider added that Bayley is back on the RAW roster full time and travelling with the company.
Bayley returned during a Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match between Lyra Valkyria, Sol Ruca and Maxxine Dupri in Birmingham, Alabama. She came out from under the ring and pulled referee Jessika Carr out before a three count on Dupri, allowing Ruca to hit the Sol Snatcher on Valkyria and take the spot. Bayley then attacked Valkyria and tried to put her through a table.
It was Bayley’s first WWE television appearance since July 18, when Valkyria beat her at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Bayley signed with WWE in late 2012.
