Jeff Jarrett disagrees with Bruce Prichard’s decision to nix Cody Rhodes’ idea of returning to WWE in all black with a black cowboy hat.
Rhodes recently revealed on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast that he considered the look for a return in which he attacked John Cena and Logan Paul, but Prichard shut it down, feeling it would be distracting. Speaking on the latest episode of My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett said the decision reflects a broader problem with corporate environments, saying, “Everybody takes the non-risk way. It takes the air out of innovation. It takes the air out of risk. It takes the air out of ‘I’m not going to make a decision because I don’t want a finger pointed at me.'”
He added, “I think the nature of a committee waters down everything.”
Jarrett said the look would have fit Rhodes, noting, “There’s plenty of cowboys in Georgia. I’ve seen them. I’ve talked to them.” He said he liked the idea and believes “it would not be anywhere close to a big risk or a big distraction.”
Jarrett also took a shot at Prichard’s reasoning, saying, “There will come a day when Bruce is not on that payroll that he’ll be, ‘Nope, I don’t get in the middle of that because I don’t want it to be hung on me.'”
