Tony Khan says he wants The New Level to have a big digital presence in AEW.
At the AEW All Out post-show media scrum, Khan was asked whether Kofi and Austin Creed could build something in AEW similar to UpUpDownDown, the YouTube channel Creed hosted during his time in WWE.
“Well, I definitely want them to have a big digital presence for us. As far as that YouTube channel, I can’t speak to that. I don’t really know about the ownership of their YouTube. I definitely want them to have a big presence, and as you can see, they’ve been a big fixture on AEW since they arrived.”
Khan also talked about how quickly the signing came together.
“I really did all the things above board. I waited for the 90 days to expire before I started talking to them and it’s been amazing. They’ve fit into AEW so quickly, but this all came together very quickly. So, I’m really glad to have the New Level here, and for sure they’re a big part of the AEW team, and that is TV, pay-per-view, live events, digital, and we’re just getting going.”
He added, “Those guys certainly find a way to create some content. There’s no shortage of that. So, yes, we’ll get to see some of that here and we’ll do it all legally.”
Kofi and Creed debuted at All In and won the AEW World Trios Championship with Swerve Strickland. The three retained the titles against Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, and Brody King at All Out.
