AEW wrestler Tay Melo revealed to GLOBO.com that the company has asked her to prepare for an in-ring return, and she’s hopeful it will be at this Sunday’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view. This event marks two years since Melo announced her pregnancy with husband Sammy Guevara on the same show.
“That day will be Double or Nothing,” Melo stated, noting she marked May 25th on her calendar. “It was the event where I announced Luna, and it will have been two years since that moment. Since it’s a new company, I’m the first wrestler to have a baby. It would be a very special date. I’m looking forward to it.”
Double or Nothing 2025 is set for the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. While Melo last wrestled for AEW in January 2023, she made an in-ring return for STARDOM in Japan this past January. Her husband, Sammy Guevara, is scheduled to compete at this Sunday’s event.
