Former AEW and TNA star Allie (also known as The Bunny) has shared an emotional and candid update on her recent return to in-ring training and the difficult personal journey she has been on over the past year. After taking a hiatus from the wrestling business that began in June of 2024, Allie recently revealed that she was back in the ring and training again. In a new video posted to her Instagram account, she opened up to her fans about the struggles she has faced and the profound importance that wrestling has had in helping her find her way back to a place of joy and purpose. Her heartfelt message is one of resilience and hope, and it provides a raw look into the personal challenges that professional wrestlers often face away from the cameras.
She discussed how much her life has changed and the unexpected pull she felt to return to the ring.
“I haven’t had an actual wrestling match in, s–t, I think it might be two years. So many things have changed in my life, and something in me just felt like I wanted to get back in the ring and see how it feels. Not only did I not have a match, but like, I hadn’t trained, I hadn’t bumped, I hadn’t been in wrestling at all for quite a long time, maybe the last couple months, I started feeling like I really missed it in a way that I honestly didn’t expect.”
She then spoke about the difficult year she has had and how wrestling has been a positive force for her.
“This year has been really hard. Sometimes, when you’re in a dark place, it’s hard to step outside of yourself and see that there are still good things in the world and there are good things for you to experience as well. I didn’t realize how much wrestling brought me joy until I hit rock bottom, and wrestling was like a little bit of a light in the storm. It was like in real time, it was pulling me out of the dark hole I had been sitting in… It hurts so bad at first bump, you guys, I started hitting the ropes. Oh my god. It was really painful, but honestly, it felt so good.”
