Who will be the one to end John Cena’s legendary career? Following a pivotal victory on Monday Night RAW, LA Knight is one step closer to claiming that honor.
On the December 1, 2025, episode of RAW, The Megastar defeated Jey Uso in the semifinal round of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament. The tournament winner will earn the right to face John Cena in his final WWE match. Following the bout, Knight cut a passionate promo, warning The Cenation Leader that his “last time” is fast approaching.
“Last time is now. My last time ain’t now, tonight was maybe the next the last time. It was the next, the next, the last time,” Knight said. “Soon enough, somebody’s last time very well might be John Cena’s. As a matter of fact, win, lose, or withdrawal, it is gonna be John Cena’s.”
Knight made it clear that he intends to use Cena as a stepping stone for his own ascent to the top of the industry.
“But I tell you what we do know, we know that I’m going to continue to make that climb. I’m going to make that ascension to the top. And whether it’s through John Cena or anybody else, you’ll see me, and the whole damn world will see me with everybody saying LA Knight, YEAH!”
The “Last Time Is Now” tournament is set to conclude at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event, scheduled for December 13, 2025, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. This event will mark the definitive end of John Cena’s year-long retirement tour.
