Bryan Danielson, who joined AEW in 2021, has been a highly valued talent and one of the biggest names in the promotion. However, he has recently announced that his full-time career in the ring will end this year.
Danielson has also mentioned that his AEW contract is set to expire before All In at Wembley Stadium in the UK this August. It would be fitting for him to conclude his full-time in-ring run at WrestleDream, which will take place on October 12th at the Tacoma Dome in Washington, his home state.
This Sunday, Danielson is scheduled to face Shingo Takagi in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal at Forbidden Door. Dave Meltzer reported the following in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“The Bryan Danielson storyline is expected to have a major turnaround as he closes in on retirement with the idea of regrouping from the losses earlier in the year.”
