Dominik Mysterio’s excursion to Mexico may have ended in disaster.
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, the WWE Superstar suffered a legitimate shoulder injury during the main event of AAA’s Guerra de Titanes in Guadalajara on Saturday night. Mysterio was teaming with El Grande Americano against his father, Rey Mysterio, and Rey Fenix.
The injury reportedly occurred near the conclusion of the match when Dominik took a DDT from Rey Mysterio. Alvarez noted that the landing appeared awkward, leading to a suspected shoulder separation.
“Dom injured his shoulder taking the DDT from his dad near the end of tonight’s main event,” Alvarez reported. “Based on how he landed, my presumption is it’s likely a shoulder separation… He could barely use the arm at all.”
The match finish was chaotic, involving interference from Penta, who used a foreign object hidden in his mask to headbutt Dominik. Rey Mysterio then hit the 619 and pinned his son. Following the bell, Dominik was seen shoving his partner, Americano, before walking to the back alone, favoring his arm.
If the injury is severe, it could impact WWE’s upcoming holiday tour and Raw plans. Dominik is a key feature of Monday nights alongside Liv Morgan and The Judgment Day. A shoulder separation could sideline him for weeks or potentially require surgery, depending on the grade of the injury. Fans will be waiting anxiously for an official medical evaluation from WWE.
