Bron Breakker Medically Cleared After Raw Main Event Scare

WWE officials and fans alike can breathe a sigh of relief regarding the status of Bron Breakker.

Concern arose during the main event of Monday Night Raw, where Breakker challenged CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. During a high-risk sequence, Breakker attempted a frankensteiner from the top rope, but a miscommunication led to him landing awkwardly on impact.

Despite the scary moment, Bryan Alvarez reports that Breakker has avoided serious injury.

“Bron was checked out by medical after the show and was cleared,” Alvarez confirmed.

The match itself was a chaotic and competitive affair that lived up to weeks of promotion. As anticipated, CM Punk’s faction, The Vision, attempted to interfere, but they were neutralized by the LWO (Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee). This allowed the match to continue as a one-on-one contest, featuring brutal spots including Punk being sent through a table.

Ultimately, Punk retained his title, countering a spear attempt with a knee strike before hitting the GTS for the victory. While Breakker came up short in his quest for gold, the news that he is medically cleared means he won’t be sidelined during the crucial Royal Rumble season.

Breakker is expected to be a major favorite in the upcoming Royal Rumble match. His performance against Punk, despite the loss, solidified his standing as a main event player on the red brand.
