Randy Orton has revealed that a singles feud with Finn Balor is one of the remaining items on his professional bucket list — a surprising admission given the length and depth of his career but a reflection of how two of WWE‘s most respected long-tenured performers have somehow never crossed paths in a singles match despite sharing the ring multiple times. Speaking with The Schmo ahead of WrestleMania 42, Orton was characteristically direct about his desire.
“Finn Balor to me — I’ve been in the ring with him, but I’ve never had a singles match, let alone a feud. I would love to be able to say that I did by the end of my career. I think Finn Balor is an amazing talent. There’s nobody smoother than him,” Orton said. The 46-year-old revealed he has four years remaining on his WWE contract, leaving a meaningful window for the program to materialize before he eventually steps away from the ring.
