AJ Lee’s run of WWE creative is effectively complete following her match at WrestleMania 42, according to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. That does not necessarily mean she is finished with the company entirely, as there is hope internally that she will work more programs and matches in the future, with the possibility of appearances at major events like SummerSlam.
Lee returned to WWE in September 2025 after a decade away from in-ring competition. Her comeback led to a tag team match at WrestlePalooza, where she and husband CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
The feud between Lee and Lynch carried forward, with Lee making Lynch submit to the Black Widow to win WarGames at Survivor Series. She then defeated Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title at Elimination Chamber and held the belt until WrestleMania 42, where Lynch reclaimed the championship.
Across her recent WWE run, Lee had just one singles match outside the Lynch program — a contest against Bayley on the March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw.
