Noam Dar’s televised return to the ring is officially booked. On this week’s NXT, Dar walked in on Vanity Project as they were dismissing EVOLVE prospect Romeo Moreno, telling the trio he had just left Robert Stone’s office and was officially back in NXT. He named Jackson Drake as his preferred opponent, setting up the match for next Tuesday’s broadcast.
The contest will be Dar’s first televised match since June of last year, when he competed in the men’s Speed tournament final against Berto. He returned to in-ring action on NXT house shows at the end of April.
Naraku, the former EVIL, will also make his official NXT debut on the same episode. Naraku previously appeared on TV last week to hand NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo a shirt featuring the Japanese symbol for war, and made clear in a Tuesday promo that he intends to challenge for the NXT Championship soon.
Also booked is Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan, with Grey looking for revenge after Jordan took out Wren Sinclair last week. Birthright (Uriah Connors, Lexis King, and Stacks) will face Sean Legacy, Tate Wilder, and EK Prosper in six-man action, with Fit Finlay and William Regal both appearing on this week’s NXT to give Birthright a pep talk after their loss.
A women’s tag team match has also been added after Zaria, Nikkita Lyons, and Lizzy Rain all expressed interest in Tatum Paxley’s North American Championship. A brawl broke out with Zaria standing tall, leading Stone to book Zaria and Lyons against Rain and Paxley. Zaria was visibly frustrated about being placed in another tag match.
The full NXT lineup for May 12 includes Noam Dar vs. Jackson Drake, Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan, Zaria and Nikkita Lyons vs. Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain, the Naraku debut, and Birthright vs. Sean Legacy, Tate Wilder, and EK Prosper.
