MJF has a week to decide whether his AEW World title rematch is worth losing his hair over. On Wednesday’s Dynamite, AEW World Champion Darby Allin offered MJF a shot at the title, presumed to be at this month’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but only on Allin’s terms.
After Allin successfully defended his title against Kevin Knight, MJF came out and offered to put his scarf, then his Dynamite diamond ring, and then $1 million on the line as the stipulation. Allin rejected each offer, saying he wanted something MJF held most dear and something he would fly 17 hours to Turkey to get — his hair. Allin gave MJF a one-week ultimatum to accept, and a visibly shaken MJF left the ring to think it over.
Allin defeated MJF for the AEW World Championship on the Dynamite following Dynasty, ending MJF’s second run with the title. MJF has been chasing a rematch ever since. Allin has two title defenses already on the books — PAC at Fairway to Hell on Saturday and Kazuchika Okada next Wednesday in Asheville if he gets past PAC.
The current Double or Nothing card on May 24 in Queens, New York features a Stadium Stampede match with Chris Jericho and four partners against Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, and two more, Kazuchika Okada defending the AEW International Championship against Konosuke Takeshita, FTR defending the AEW World Tag Team Titles against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in an I Quit street fight, Allin defending the AEW World Championship against MJF in a title vs. hair match, and Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido.
