WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Paige has provided an update after suffering a bloody head injury during Friday’s episode of SmackDown. The May 8 broadcast saw Paige and Brie Bella head to the ring before being interrupted by Fatal Influence and the Irresistible Forces. The segment escalated when Nia Jax and Lash Legend attacked the Women’s Tag Team Champions, with Rhea Ripley arriving for a stare-down with the duo.
Footage soon began circulating of Paige checking her head at ringside while Ripley made her entrance, prompting concern from fans. Paige later took to social media to share photos and videos confirming a bloody cut on top of her head, captioning her post:
“(Nia Jax) said, ‘Welcome back bitch.'”
The injury appears to have come from Jax striking Paige with the microphone, although that has not been officially confirmed.
