Darby Allin survived a brutal main event against PAC to retain the AEW World Championship at Fairway to Hell on Saturday night. The match took the AEW Champion to extreme places, with Allin surviving a massive 25-foot drop and crashing through four tables among the night’s biggest spots.
Despite the punishment, Allin found a way to stay in the match before ultimately landing the Coffin Drop on PAC for the three-count. The win marks Allin’s second successful defense in the same week after he beat Kevin Knight on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
The show closed with Allin standing tall, but his next defense is already locked in. With Kazuchika Okada traveling to Japan for personal reasons, Konosuke Takeshita has stepped in as Allin’s next challenger, with the two set to clash for the AEW World Championship on the May 13 episode of Dynamite.
