Thekla will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship in a four-way match at Double or Nothing. The announcement was made during the May 9 episode of AEW Fairway to Hell, with the Austrian champion set to defend her title against Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter.
Thekla has held the championship since February 2026, with her reign now sitting at roughly 88 days. The Double or Nothing match will mark her sixth title defense.
The current AEW Double or Nothing card features Thekla defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Shida, Statlander, and Hayter, Kazuchika Okada defending the AEW International Championship against Konosuke Takeshita, FTR defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in an I Quit match, and the Stadium Stampede match pitting Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, and The Young Bucks against Ricochet, The Demand (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona), Mark Davis, and one more participant.
The pay-per-view takes place May 24, 2026 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
