Angel Garza opened Monday Night Raw with a dominant loss and closed it with an ominous social media post. Garza and his cousin Humberto “Berto” Carrillo made a surprise appearance on Raw, getting destroyed by Oba Femi in a 2-on-1 handicap match. The appearance was particularly unexpected given that both wrestlers are technically part of the SmackDown roster — it was the first Raw match for either of them since a battle royal in 2023.
Shortly after Raw ended, Garza issued a statement on his X account.
“Thank you to everyone who never jumped off the ship and kept supporting the Garza Legacy through it all.”
Combined with WWE’s ongoing roster purge, the surprise booking, lopsided loss, and cryptic message paint a worrying picture for the future of Los Garza in the company.
Garza and Carrillo originally debuted as singles competitors on WWE’s main roster in 2019. Garza competed at WrestleMania 36 the next year, teaming with Austin Theory in a loss to The Street Profits. The two were paired as a team in 2021 and have been together ever since. They captured the AAA World Tag Team Championships at Triplemania last June before losing them to Psycho Clown and Pagano in August. They have appeared on SmackDown, Main Event, and house shows since then but have a combined record of just one win between them, with Berto beating Apollo Crews on Main Event in February.
