A Women’s Tag Team Championship match has been booked for next week’s WWE Raw. From Greensboro, North Carolina, champions Paige and Brie Bella will defend the titles against The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The Oba Femi Open Challenge will also continue as the Ruler keeps searching for opponents willing to step up after his quick WrestleMania 42 win over Brock Lesnar.
The new challengers confronted Paige and Bella on Monday’s Raw. Perez said she used to love watching Paige and Bella when they were young and relevant, and asked Bella if she remembered meeting her as a kid. Perez claimed Bella once told her she could carry on the Bella legacy, but accused Bella of setting the bar too low. After asking the duo to hand over the titles before “another one of Paige’s scandals” broke, Perez and Rodriguez were attacked by the champions, only for Liv Morgan to arrive and turn the situation against them.
Oba Femi came out for his open challenge but Adam Pearce cancelled the segment, saying no one was willing to face him. An irate Femi went looking for opponents backstage and ran into Berto and Angel Garza, who had been seeking an opportunity from Pearce earlier in the night. Femi dragged both to the ring and easily dispatched the duo in an impromptu 2-on-1 handicap match.
The current Raw lineup for May 18 features Brie Bella and Paige defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, along with the continuation of the Oba Femi Open Challenge.
