Becky Lynch will defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy on May 31 in Turin. The match was made official after Lynch got herself disqualified at Saturday Night’s Main Event by pulling referee Jessika Carr into the path of Ruca’s Sol Snatcher. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis told Lynch backstage that she would face Ruca again in Italy, this time with the title on the line.
Lynch defended the belt against Ruca on Saturday without agreeing to put the title on the line. After the DQ, Lynch hit Ruca with multiple Manhandle Slams.
